Have you always assumed that the term real estate agent and REALTOR are the same thing? I know I did until I got into this industry!
A Florida real estate agent is one who took the 63 hr course and passed the state exam. A REALTOR is a real estate agent that is a member of the National Association of Realtors and has agreed to abide by a specific Code of Ethics.
REALTORS are required to take Continuing Education courses and are eligible to earn a number of specialty designations. One of these designations is the GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) of which I am a recepient. This designation requires completion of 7 different courses/exams. It covers a host of topics including Law, Property Management, Investment, Promotion and Technology, As your Clearwater, FL and surrounding area specialist, I am commited to working with integrity and skill.
Other designations I have earned include the "Resort and Second Home Property Specialist" and the "Pricing Strategy Advisor". All of this education and commitment is an assurance to you, that I will be a reliable, professional REALTOR that you can trust.
